Dr. Lee is a board certified gastroenterologist who specializes in all aspects of gastrointestinal and liver disorders. He has a special interest in viral hepatitis and has dedicated his practice toward advanced diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy.
After graduating from high school in 1990, Dr. Lee was accepted into the Integrated B.A./M.D. Honors Program in Medical Education at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois. He continued his medical education at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago, Illinois. He graduated with honors in 1997, and then came to California, where he completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Los Angeles County and University of Southern California Medical Center. There, he was the recipient of the Best Resident Award in 1999, an honor voted by his peers. Dr. Lee then completed his Gastroenterology fellowship at the UCLA Affiliated Program/Harbor-UCLA Medical Center from 2000 to 2003, with special focus and research on pancreatico-biliary disorders and advanced therapeutic endoscopy. He joined the South Bay Gastroenterology Medical Group in 2003, and has enjoyed private practice tremendously.
Dr. Lee currently serves as a clinical instructor in the Division of Gastroenterology at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center/David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA.
Dr. Lee is currently a member of the American College of Gastroenterology, American Gastroenterological Association, American Society For Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, Southern California Gastroenterology Society, and the Asian-American Physicians Association.
